Arduino at Jitter Hackaton 2014

I took part in Hackaton at MCE 2014, which was held 10/01/2014. For more details go to http://mobilecentraleurope.com. I was so excited about this event. It was full of positive geek energy focused on many different devices like estimote (http://estimote.com), Nao robot (http://www.aldebaran-robotics.com/en), Google Glass and more.
However I was especially interested in hands-on Arduino programming session.

All participants were equiped with Arduino Robot starter kit, wires, diodes and sensors like photoresistor and distance sensor.

The goal was to build a self driving robot that could avoid obstacles and was driving towards light. But before that, participants were given simpler tasks like turning on and turning of a set of diode.

Then next task was to collect distance from distance sensor. And then command Arduino to turn on diode for particular distance.

After about 2h of wiring, programing and calibrating the robot was born.

It was exciting hardware and software playground.
Programming is fun. However I've learned that programming hardware that reacts to commands is even more fun.
